Thin Bed Mortar

Hebel RAAC Thin Mortar is a precision-engineered, pre-mixed, high-performance adhesive designed for seamless installation of RAAC units.

High-quality AAC thin bed mortars achieve compressive strengths between 5–7 MPa and adhesive bond strengths above 0.3 MPa, ensuring a stable and crack-resistant joint. The thin joint layer (typically 2–3 mm) minimizes thermal bridging and enhances structural uniformity across masonry units.

The mortar’s fine consistency provides excellent workability and easy trowel application. Its extended open time and quick setting properties allow faster construction cycles while maintaining alignment accuracy. Pre-mixed and ready to use with water, it eliminates on-site mixing variations and reduces wastage.

Thin Mortar mortars are engineered to match AAC’s thermal expansion characteristics, ensuring uniform behavior under temperature fluctuations. This compatibility helps prevent cracking and improves the overall thermal insulation and soundproofing performance of AAC walls.
